Understanding Your Child
Every student is different and this is the primary reason for the resource department. Some students need more time to grasp material, while other students need more challenges in their academic life. Knowing what category different students fall into allows for the staff at Chaminade to cater towards their needs. For example some students excel at English but can not grasp the methods taught in math as quickly. It is important to understand your child's weaknesses and strengths and help fix the former while building on the latter.
Parents involvement is very important in establishing a solution for the needs of each student. Helping your child choose courses, encourage enrichment opportunities, and be apart of their secondary school life is crucial in the development of one's education.
A parent knows what's best which is why communication with both teacher and child is key to a successful course. Know your child and be involved.
